Chandrapur (Mohammad Suleman Baig):

7-year-old tigress (CHN-30) lost her life after being struck by a goods train on the Ballarshah–Secunderabad down line near Manikgarh Station early Sunday (30 November), around 4:00 AM.

The incident took place in Compartment No. 160 of Chanakha Beat, under the Rajura Forest Range.

Upon receiving information, a forest team led by:
M.D. Girdkar, Deputy Conservator of Forests (Rajura) Gajanan Ingle, Range Forest Officer (Rajura) reached the location immediately, accompanied by field staff from Wihirgaon, Chanakha, Nalphadi, Jogapur, Murti, Rajura, Chunaala and support personnel.

A detailed panchnama was conducted, confirming all vital organs were intact, ruling out foul play. The carcass was transported to Chandrapur for a post-mortem examination.
This incident once again raises concerns about tiger mortality on railway and highway corridors in Chandrapur district, a region known for high tiger density.

Further investigation is being conducted under the supervision of RFO Gajanan Ingle.
