Chandrapur :

A highly dangerous and irresponsible incident has come to light from the Padmapur–Moharli road in Chandrapur district, where on March 15, 2026, some individuals were reportedly seen filming a tiger from extremely close range after approaching it on the road.

According to available information, the act amounted to a clear violation of wildlife protection rules. The incident not only reflected negligence toward wildlife regulations but also put the lives of those involved at serious risk.

Experts have warned that such reckless behavior can provoke wild animals like tigers and may lead to a major accident at any time. Interfering with the movement or natural behavior of a wild predator is considered highly unsafe and irresponsible.

In response to the incident, Humayun Ali, President of We Care Foundation, Chandrapur, has demanded strict action from the Forest Department. In a written representation submitted to the Conservator of Forests and Field Director, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, he urged the authorities to immediately investigate the matter, identify the persons involved, and take strong legal action against them under the Wildlife Protection Act.

Humayun Ali stated that incidents of this nature not only disturb the natural behavior of wild animals but also pose a serious threat to the safety of tourists and local residents. He said that if timely and strict action is not taken, such behavior may increase in the future.

The Forest Department is now expected to take serious note of the matter and initiate firm action against those responsible, so that no one dares to act in such a reckless manner again.

At the time of submitting the representation, the following members of We Care Foundation were present: Vice President Suyog Bhoyar, Haji Ali, Shahbaz Sheikh, Suhas Kamble, Shilpa Kamble, Nazia Sheikh, Siddharth Shegaonkar, Yashraj Bagihele, Kunal, and Sarkar, among others.
