A tragic incident was reported on Saturday, December 27, 2025, when a bamboo worker lost his life following a tiger attack in the forest area of Mouja Mamla, under Forest Compartment No. 381, in Chandrapur district.
According to information received, Budsing Shyamlal Madavi (aged 41 years) had gone into the forest for bamboo cutting work when he was suddenly attacked by a tiger. He sustained serious injuries in the attack.
Following the incident, he was immediately shifted to the District General Hospital, Chandrapur, for medical treatment. However, despite efforts by doctors, he succumbed to his injuries at around 6:00 PM during treatment, as confirmed by Forest Department officials.
The incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the surrounding area. The Forest Department has initiated further investigation and is undertaking necessary precautionary and administrative measures.
