Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) continues to be a major source of livelihood for the local population. A total of 1,021 individuals are direct beneficiaries of various eco-tourism activities under the project, collectively earning ₹1,38,78,500 per month.
According to official data, the distribution of employment is as follows:

Boating : 10 persons
Birding from Machan : 12 persons
Adventure Games & Trekking : 07 persons
Cycle Trails : 04 persons
Machan Stay : 05 persons
Nature Education Centre : 04 persons
Nature Park : 03 persons
Butterfly Garden : 08 persons
Kayaking : 02 persons
Long Hut Accommodation : 15 persons
Homestays with Local Staff : 50 persons
Gate Managers : 28 persons
Other Staff : 50 persons
This shows that Tadoba’s eco-tourism initiatives are playing a vital role in generating sustainable employment for local villagers.
Despite these significant livelihood opportunities, some people still raise unnecessary complaints claiming that locals are not being employed, which is contrary to the facts. The data clearly highlights how Tadoba’s model is empowering rural communities while promoting wildlife conservation and responsible tourism.
