No such incident occurred in Brahmapuri Forest Division, says CCF Chandrapur
Chandrapur | Mohammad Suleman Baig:
A disturbing video allegedly showing a tiger attacking and killing a man at a rest house in Brahmapuri Forest Division on October 31, 2025, at 6:42 PM is being widely circulated on social media platforms.
However, the Forest Department has officially clarified that no such incident has taken place in the Brahmapuri Forest Division of Chandrapur Circle. Authorities have confirmed that the video in question is artificially generated using AI tools and is completely fake.
According to R.M. Ramanujam, Chief Conservator of Forests (Territorial), Chandrapur Circle, certain anti-social elements are attempting to create panic and unrest among the public by spreading false information, taking undue advantage of the recent rise in man-animal conflict cases in the region.
“The Forest Department appeals to the public not to believe such misleading videos. Strict legal action will be taken against those responsible for creating and circulating this fake content,” said Ramanujam.
The department has taken serious cognizance of the matter and is working with law enforcement agencies to trace the origin of the fake video. Citizens have been urged to report any such misleading or suspicious videos to the nearest Forest or Police Department immediately.
The Forest Department reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of both humans and wildlife and cautioned people against spreading unverified content that could disrupt public harmony.
